Message of Hope for 2023 from L Natale

I've been thinking about what I'd like to give you for my message for 2023. I'd really like to give you something that just fits your own wishes, dreams, and needs to help you on your path to fulfillment and happiness. To quote Mr. Rogers, “I want to give you hope. Hope that through your own doing and your own living with others, you'll be able to find what best fits you in this life.”

January 01, 2022 I gave myself a massive personal challenge. I set out  to create 100 videos for youtube by the end of the year. I can’t believe it’s true, but This, my dear viewer, my friend, is that 100th video, as of recording, it is coming in just under the wire before the new year of 2023 begins.

I am about to share with you the secret to reaching the impossible, how having a simple, and succinct goal has changed my life, and you can apply this same principle to move towards your own dreams, and be brave moving into a new year.

Oh my gosh, 100 videos seemed nearly impossible, really, but it was just enough to be doable with continued effort. See, having the goal of 100 videos had a few rules. Only after I completed my 100 videos could I  pass judgment on myself, or feel anything about the numbers of views or subscribers, and most of all,  I had to get to 100 videos before I could let myself quit. And I won’t hesitate to admit that I wanted to quit many times. You see, I have quit so many things in my life - when things got hard, or I became disinterested, all the way back to piano lessons as an 8 year old - it was easy to just stop. Piano was hard. I didn’t like hard things. Now doing Youtube, I will report to you, is much harder than doing piano lessons with some powdery smelling church lady.

Looking back in my journal, I see the same statement over and over - especially when I was discouraged by getting only 17 views on a video I worked on for hours, or a mean comment came in - ‘oh well, I have to get to 100 videos” . In the summer I went away from home and Youtube for a month, and really fell out of the groove. It would have been easy to quit then. But that was only 60 videos in. I had to keep going.

And that far away number, 100 videos, was the buffer to not quitting and not judging myself - it propelled me to a place I never imagined I would be, and doing something I love, sharing my interpretation of the ancient art of astrology in the hopes of inspiring people to maybe start seeing themselves clearly, to aim towards radical self-acceptance, and become co-creators of their best lives with the energy of this incredible universe to partner with.

I recently heard a podcast entrepreneur say, “Consistency is only the Cheat code for Success.” And it’s true. The people who become successful have nothing more than the will to keep going, keep showing up for themselves, and power through until they have accomplished their mission.

Powerful change only comes from sacrifice - the truth is, we have to earn our stripes, we are entitled to nothing - but that truth is obscured in this modern age. Most people can get what they want, whenever they want it, with credit cards and amazon prime that delivers things like magic sometimes the very same day. Jupiter or Venus may be the enthusiasm, optimism and desire behind goal creation, behind what we WANT, but it is the workhorses of Mars with unwavering courage, and Saturn with resolute determination that fulfill the order, and it is not like amazon prime same day delivery. It takes patience. It takes time. It takes a simple, challenging but still attainable authentic goal.

To put it simply, think of what you want. Make a list if you don’t know. Write down outrageous things. Then pick one. Make it tangible. If, for example, you want to learn a skill, a language, a musical instrument, then be specific about exactly what you want to do. Then contain that goal within a time frame. Consistently work towards that singular accomplishment until you get the job done, or reach the time limit. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t hit a home run the first time - just creating a vision of what you want is a wonderful first step, and making any steps towards our dreams is powerful. Readjust the timeline if you have to, readjust the goal, but don’t stop until you get it, bit by bit. You are a powerful force of nature when you work with the planets to reach your destination.

And if you find yourself feeling down, or if you want to quit, when you need a friend, my hope is that you will find a place of respite here, and maybe a few moments of levity to make you smile. At the end of my videos, I often say that I like you just the way you are, because I do. You are a beautiful soul, you are deliberately made for this life you are living, you are loved dearly. And this message, this youtube channel, is something I can give you. And I hope you'll feel very welcome.

The Word in the Waking World - Kali Yuga

Caliuga?  I woke up with that word repeating in my mind this morning, like a message on an old answering machine.  "Caliuga. Caliuga. Caliuga." I had no idea why this word had called, and could not remember what it even meant. Was it a yoga pose? I put the word into Google, our great collective hive mind, and at first Google asked, "Did you mean Caligula ?" ("Cruel and tyrannical Emperor Caligula ruled Ancient Rome through fear and terror. Rampaging through Rome committing murder, adultery and acts of debauchery, his reign came to an abrupt end when he was brutally assassinated after only four years.") No, Google. I mean Caliuga . The phonetic way I typed in the word, brought up another option (Sorry Caligula, maybe some other time).  Kali Yuga.  Yes, that is what I am hearing. Kali Yuga.  It is so familiar, but I cannot remember. What is it? According to Yogapedia (Yoga's baby with Wikipedia I believe), Kali Yuga is part of Hinduism and is the fourth ...

Your Secret Garden - Where Astrology and Spirituality Meet

What if I told you, there is an Undiscovered Secret Story Living Within You, and what if uncovering that story could open the portal to your ultimate fulfillment, understanding, and personal peace? Buckle your seatbelt, we are going on a Journey - a Hero’s journey to be exact - to find that elusive emancipation story living within you.   Joseph Campbell was an author and a professor, most widely famous for his book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, where he details the structure of the Hero’s Journey.     There are three acts and 17 stages in the standard archetypical structure of the hero’s journey. Most of our biggest stories collectively are based around this storytelling narrative - a few examples - famously the Star Wars story of Luke Skywalker, Neo in the Matrix, and Frodo in the Lord of the Rings.  In act one we find our hero in a situation where they need to leave their known world - but just before they do, the hero meets the mentor - this ...
