Pluto through the Houses

Natal Pluto Placement through the houses: These are inspired by Steven Arroyo’s descriptions in his book, Keys to Transformation, and I have added my own interpretations as well. If you want to find your natal Pluto house placement, you will need to know your birth time to get an accurate ascendent starting point. I would be very interested in how you feel about the description of Pluto’s placement in your own life - if it resonates with you? Also look to the house where Pluto is finishing up in Capricorn to understand if these topics have been dominant since 2008. Look to the house where Pluto will be in Aquarius to have a heads up of what potential topics may be on the docket for transformation in your life next. Your feedback is welcome!

Pluto in the first house: Over time, your sense of self must be totally transformed, pluto energy used creatively can express in powerful concentration, and a remarkable depth into life's deeper meanings. Potential to deeply understand, but may have insecurity expressing it freely. A journey of claiming your own personal power. Empowerment through self-exploration and acceptance.

Pluto in the second house: An overwhelming desire to have control over one’s material resources as an aid to achieving peace of mind. Attitudes towards your values, self-worth, and finances transform over time. Empowerment through mastery of material realm and personal worth.

Pluto in the third house: Thorough in all matters of communication to the point of compulsivity, powerful communications, or feelings of being shut down or silenced, and your voice needs to become empowered over time. Ability to reach into the depths of human interaction, and research. Empowerment through confident and powerful communication, find your voice, and share your message.

Pluto in the fourth house: Strong urge for security, a place to rest and retreat, and to control your environment, know exactly what is going on in the homescape. Pluto here indicates a total reorientation needed in one's deepest feeling about oneself, and in one sense of security, inner peace and contentment. Facing family karmic behaviors and breaking unhealthy patterns handed through ancestral lineage. Empowerment through claiming ownership of your inner world and psyche.

Pluto in the fifth house: Self-expression and the desire to be somebody is strong, but desires to be seen, creatively, are often thwarted. Ability to pioneer new areas of creativity with unusual depth, learning over time that the great energy is to do something special, rather than just wanting to be known as someone special. Empowerment through self expression, creativity, and passion.

Pluto in the sixth house: Desire to serve or help others, or at least feel like a helpful person. May not be appreciated for the deep dedication to serve others - over time, the focus shifts to personal transformation , purification of self, through health and wellness, and possibly healing others. Empowerment through valuing your own service, learning when it is appropriate to sacrifice, and when it is not. Empowerment through self-care and balanced service.

Pluto in the seventh: Marriage and one on one relationships or partnerships will be where the majority of transformation will be dominant. There may be experiences with power struggles here, but with a deep understanding of your own balanced power between two, you can come to transformation of your own self. Empowerment through balancing power dynamics between self and partnership.

Pluto in the eighth house: There may be experiences of wanting to control or being controlled by others resources, money, or psychological forces. Releasing the fear of loss of support, or possibly in some cases, codependency, is where you can find your own path to personal power. Reorient the use of all power - physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual. Empowerment through release of fear.

Pluto in the ninth house: May have a compulsion to share your beliefs and ideals, or be guided to very deep profound experiences interacting with experiences outside the familiar - different cultures, spirituality, philosophies, travel. Transformation over time of your belief systems, reclaiming power over forced dogma, or possible abuse from people in positions of spiritual or educational power. Empowerment through release of the mundane, and expansion through interaction with the unknown.

Pluto in the tenth house: Experiences with oppressive authority, impatience with authority, a desire to have a position of power yourself and recognition from others. Over time, the transformation is an understanding of power itself, and the challenges or benefits it really brings. Empowerment by developing a deeper sense of responsibility and understanding power dynamics in all arenas.

Pluto in the eleventh: Deep desire to be accepted by others, a compulsive focus on the future, while ignoring the here and now, present moment. Idealizing being in a position of social structure power, over reliance on others for fulfillment. Empowerment through understanding your individual power to benefit a larger whole, understand your deepest hopes for the future, and find your place of purpose within the framework of social or humanitarian world needs.

Pluto in the twelfth house: Transforming the quality of your emotional life through adherence to some belief or transcendental truth over time to liberate yourself from confusion, and acts of self-undoing. Reorientation through periods of deep introspection, solitude, and creating a strong foundation of inner power through connection to something bigger than the self. Empowerment through developing the capacity to experience the unity of all life that lies beneath outer forms.

The Word in the Waking World - Kali Yuga

Caliuga?  I woke up with that word repeating in my mind this morning, like a message on an old answering machine.  "Caliuga. Caliuga. Caliuga." I had no idea why this word had called, and could not remember what it even meant. Was it a yoga pose? I put the word into Google, our great collective hive mind, and at first Google asked, "Did you mean Caligula ?" ("Cruel and tyrannical Emperor Caligula ruled Ancient Rome through fear and terror. Rampaging through Rome committing murder, adultery and acts of debauchery, his reign came to an abrupt end when he was brutally assassinated after only four years.") No, Google. I mean Caliuga . The phonetic way I typed in the word, brought up another option (Sorry Caligula, maybe some other time).  Kali Yuga.  Yes, that is what I am hearing. Kali Yuga.  It is so familiar, but I cannot remember. What is it? According to Yogapedia (Yoga's baby with Wikipedia I believe), Kali Yuga is part of Hinduism and is the fourth
